This policy explains how Nostalgia Diary (the "App") handles information about its users.
Information you enter
The gender and birth year and month you choose, and your game progress (the memories and paths you picked), are stored only in your browser (localStorage). This information is never sent to our servers. Clearing your browser data also erases your record.
Connections to outside sites
To show a related article and image for each trend in the game, your browser searches the public API of Wikipedia (the Wikimedia Foundation) using the item's name. Your birth year and other information you entered are not sent. For how the Wikimedia Foundation handles information, see the Wikimedia Foundation Privacy Policy.
Advertising
The App uses Google AdSense, a third-party advertising service.
- Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to the App or other websites.
- Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visits to the App and/or other sites on the Internet.
- You may opt out of personalized advertising in Google's Ads Settings. You can also opt out of a third-party vendor's use of cookies at www.aboutads.info.
For more information, see Google's advertising policies.
Analytics
The App uses Google Analytics, an analytics tool from Google, to understand how the App is used and to improve it. Google Analytics uses cookies to collect traffic data. This data is collected anonymously and does not identify individuals.
You can refuse this collection by disabling cookies in your browser settings. You can also use the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on. For how this data is handled, see Google's Privacy & Terms.
