Why we made this

Get together with friends who were born the same year, and the conversation always seems to turn to the stuff you loved as kids: "Everybody had one of those!" "We danced to that song at every school dance!" But it's surprisingly hard to remember exactly what grade you were in at the time, or what else was happening that year.

Nostalgia Diary lets you look back on the trends and events of every year from first grade through graduation, just by entering the year you were born. The TV and phone in your pixel-art room change with the times, and you can live those years again while choosing your own path. We'd love it if you shared your "life timeline" with friends and family who grew up in the same era.

About the timeline

The trends and events in the game and on the Trend timeline are based on public records such as US release dates, premiere dates, and event dates. We've checked them as carefully as we can, but if you find a mistake or have a better suggestion, please let us know through the contact form below.

Product names, titles, and organization names are trademarks or works of their respective owners. This site mentions them only to describe what was popular each year and is not affiliated with any of them. We don't use character images or logos. The Wikipedia images shown through each item's link are limited to those on Wikimedia Commons that are free to use.
