Nostalgia Diary

Pick your country and the year you were born, and time rolls back to your first year of school.

Getting started

Gender

This only changes how your character looks (hair and clothes).

In the game, the school-year cutoff is September 1. If you were born January through August, you start first grade in the fall of the year you turn 6 — one grade ahead of kids born later that same year. Cutoffs vary by state, so if yours was different, pick the month that puts you in the right grade.

About Nostalgia Diary

Nostalgia Diary is a pixel-art game. Enter the year and month you were born, and time rolls back to the year you started first grade (Grade 1, or Year 1 in Australia). From there, you live through your school years one at a time, all the way to graduation and your first step into the grown-up world.

No sign-up needed, and your progress is saved only in your own browser. See How to play for details, or browse every trend in the game on the Trend timeline (one page per country).

From the same Diary series: Diet Diary, a pixel-art game that simulates weight change from what you eat and how you exercise. Play Diet Diary
